Round Up {coloring}

As a child one of my favorite activities was to color in those pattern coloring books. So it makes sense that I am completely smitten over this new coloring book inspired trend. Its so fun, adds a DIY element to really cool products, and is now inspiring my own work.

color-in

Starting off with these super chic coloring books. They certainly have come a long way since I was little, scribbling in my coloring book. From the top The Wonderful World of Fashion book is so fun and playful. Of course it doesn’t get any more chic than a Hermes coloring book right!? Wow! And these Rosie Flo coloring books are spot on. I would love to have a collection of these for myself!

color-in2

I love the idea of having color-in wallpaper. This frames wallpaper by Graham & Brown is so adorable. What a fun thing to put in Piper’s room! Hmmmm…And this Jon Burgerman wallpaper sold by nineteenseventythree via therefore design is gorgeous!

color-in3

I love that this color-in trend is moving from paper to clothing! So fun. First up is this adorable child t-shirt set. What a fun gift for a child. Love it! And now for the trend to move couture, this color-in dress. Wow! What a clever idea. I would love to see this concept move to a table cloth perhaps at a bridal shower, that would then turn into a gift for the bride! Hope this inspires you to if nothing else, dig out those old coloring books! xoxo

Dreamy Lounge Inspired

Possibly its my lack of sleep again that is inspiring me in this sleepy, dreamy way. But seriously who wouldn’t want to wake up in a gorgeous fluffy bed in the middle of an enchanted forest right!?

loungey

The top photo, styled by Stella Nicolaisen, really inspired this post I have to admit. The idea of this gorgeous bed hanging from the trees in the middle of a forest is sort of my dream place right now. This classic white bed in the middle of a forest clearing is styled by Lotta Agaton. The next four photos, these surreal bedrooms were brilliantly styled by  Stella Nicolaisen. And I completely covet this couch made of pillows via Bloesem.

loungey21

These gorgeous photos by Ditte Isager are so dreamy. The top two continue my obsession with having a bed hung from trees in a forest. The next two are  part of a Day Birger et Mikkelsen campaign. I love the bed and the trunks in the stark outdoors. How amazingly cozy does this knit chair look? via Mitchell and Dent. I love this photo with feathers and a vintage print in the background styled by Stella Nicolaisen. And with all these fabulous places to lounge about I would love to wear some of these lovelies. Sweet dreams my darlings!

Dream Room Inspired

There is absolutely nothing about this room shot by Chris Court that I don’t love. The colors, the swanky style, I seriously just want to live in this room!

dreamroom1

From fabulous Jessica Hische typography to this  illustrated typography on a vintage book. From these great etsy vintage teal colored stamps or this gorgeous gin bottle, everything seems to just fit with this swanky vibe. LOVE!

dreamroom2

I would LOVE to see this look recreated for a wedding. How amazing right? I can just see it, sipping on swanky teal cocktails, with fabulous silver heels, and gorgeous florals.

Mom Monday {first birthday shoot}

When Kimberly Davis, the fabulous photographer behind this shoot, sent over this adorable first birthday shoot I was instantly inspired and thought you might be as well. Kimberly is clearly a very talented photographer, and these photos are going to be such a great keepsake for this family.

kimfirstbday

This family wanted to a portrait session for their daughter’s first birthday, so Kimberly styled a shoot with a first birthday theme. This way they had some control over the shoot, and its much more interesting than just a standard portrait session.

kimfirstbday2

The fabulous banner and linens are Moda Home, and much of the items were found at Walmart and Target. So it’s proof that you can create a fabulous setting without spending a fortune. I love her idea of creating these custom themed shoots to reflect the personalities of the subject. How adorable are the cake pics?! So perfect! Thanks for sharing Kimberly!

Princess Piper

I apologize if this is baby overkill but I could not wait until Mom Monday to share these with you. The brilliant Braedon of Braedon Photography has once again captured one of my most precious moments. Photos of my princess baby Piper Marie. I hope you enjoy! He has really captured her perfectly.

piper11

These pictures on the bed that he captured of all of us are so precious! I can’t get over it!

piper21

My mother had this adorable picture of us when I was a baby wearing this darling pink terry cloth hoody and a bikini. The picture below it is me trying to recreate that same picture. Piper is wearing my clothes, isn’t that so precious!? My mother has kept a lot of my baby clothes and brought me some that would fit Piper right now. See that adorable peach outfit above? It’s so funny because that style is so in right now, see the outfit on the right, a new outfit.

The way Braedon works is so amazing. He was so good with little Piper, and I love that he uses all these different old cameras, and FILM! Brilliant! Thank you so much Braedon!

In the Studio {Holy Sweet Logo}

Here is one of the exciting logo projects we have just completed with the amazing Holy Sweet pastry extraordinaire. Linda of Holy Sweet is located in Sweden. It’s so amazing to be able to work with people across the world!  I always think its fun to include the progression of the logo, so you can see where we started and where we ended up.

holysweet1a1

Holy Sweet does the most gorgeous work so I thought it would be fun to include some of their fabulous pastry designs and see how the new logo is the perfect fit!

holysweet2

I am so in love with their unique designs and gorgeous work. How adorable are those heart shaped macarons!? Thank you Linda! We had so much fun working with you! Photos via Holy Sweet blog.

Absinthe Inspired {the green fairy}

I mean of course how can you not want to know more about something referred to as “the Green Fairy”? There is something intriguing about Absinthe not only because of its fun fairy name but because of the controversy that surrounds this strong alcoholic liquid. Is it legal? Is the Absinthe you buy in the US actually Absinthe…and so forth. But who knew that this naughty elixer would be a treasure trove of inspiring imagery!?

absinthe

I love the top image, featuring the plants and herbs contained in Absinthe. The Roquette label is so fabulous, as are the rest of the labels via the Virtual Absinthe Museum.

absinthe2

These gorgeous vintage ads and posters are so great! I am really wanting some of these framed on my wall. You can buy them at All Posters.com.

absinthe3

And finally, who knew the invoices would so gorgeous! I am seriously so in love with all of this ephemera I am thinking of creating an entire line of products inspired by these…stay tuned!

Round Up {Wallpaper}

There is something about the patterns and creative freedom that makes wallpaper so inspiring. I find my work constantly being inspired by wallpaper patterns. These fabulous wallpaper designers are just the tip of the ice berg!

wallpaper1

It’s not a secret that we at the WV are HUGE Anthropologie fans. So when I saw that they now offer wallpaper that keeps with their fabulous aesthetic I was instantly in love. The intricate vintage details, hand drawn bird cages, and whimsical imagery make for the most gorgeous wallpaper!

wallpaper2

Another one of my favorites, Amy Butler, also just released some fabulous wallpaper designs that are very true to her textile designs. Her use of color and shapes is pure genius!

wallpaper31

Grow House Grow is such an inspiring company in general I couldn’t wait to share these images with you. I first discovered them on Design Sponge. “They specialize in narrative-inspired wallpaper design. Their lifelong love of storytelling and affinity for pattern shapes every hand printed roll they produce.” How amazing is that! I love that there is a story, which you can read on their site, for each wallpaper pattern. So genius!

wallpaper4

The brilliant Joy of Oh Joy, has launched a new line of wallpaper that reflects her beautiful paper products! Love her use of metallics and organic shapes. I think Flavor Paper has some of the most unique wallpaper patterns. They really push the envelope! And then of course there is this brilliant Mushroom wallpaper by Ferm Living that I am completely obsessed with!! Sigh!

Mom Monday {Striped Pajamas}

I am beyond excited to share with you these gorgeous pictures Braedon sent over of his little boy’s 1st birthday party. There is something magical about a child’s first birthday and I really thought Braedon said it beautifully “Having a baby is an amazing thing and we get to celebrate with people in our lives and his, the first year of his life. Great reason to celebrate!” I thought this was a great real party to share with you on this Mom Monday. Being a mom myself now I have to admit that I am already compiling ideas for Piper’s first birthday…is that bad? Anyway here are the pictures from Declan’s darling striped pajamas party designed by the very talented Society Picnic.

declanparty1

Guests were asked to wear stripes in honor of Declan, as he spent most of his first year of life in striped pajamas. I love this idea! The colorful stripes provided such a fun theme visually, and the guests participation really added to the overall look. How fun! I also love the “I heart Declan” pins! Such a great favor. The wall of Declan photos was so great, especially since his daddy is the photographer!

declanparty2

Of course what party is complete without sweets from my fav Sweet and Saucy!? Cake pops and mini cupcakes anyone?

declanparty3

Whisky spiked sno-cones! How fun! The perfect addition to naughty food, no? Hope this will inspire all you moms and moms-to-be for your parties. A child’s birthday party is such a fun event to get creative with. Thanks so much Braedon for sharing these gorgeous pictures from Declans birthday party! Fabulous job on the styling Society Picnic!

Hot off the Press {Marie Antoinette}

Recently we had the pleasure of working with Paper Dots on this fabulous twist on our Marie Antoinette invitation suite. The couple took a more formal approach and used a midnight and gold color palette. I love that it really gives this invitation collection a whole new look!

marieantoinette

The couple really had their hearts set on letterpress so we letterpress the invitation card and then flat printed the additional pieces. Love the gold in this suite!!
